1. Bump & Burn Workout: celebrating our expecting mamas

Saturday, August 15 · 9:00 to 10:30 AM · at Tectonic

Celebrating our Tectonic expecting mamas: Alyssa Caporicci, Elyse Coe and Jess Seay.

Join us for a fun, friendly community workout as we celebrate the strong women growing the next generation of little lifters. Partners and friends are invited to experience the workout too, with a "baby bump" of their own! We'll wrap up with snacks, conversation, and a small celebration honoring our expecting mamas!

One heads up: this is our 9:00 class that morning, so the 9:00 slot is the party. Hit reply and let us know you are coming so we can grab enough snacks.

2. Roll It Out: foam rolling & mobility class with Cloud Chiropractic

Saturday, August 22 · 10:00 to 11:00 AM · at Tectonic

We are teaming up with Dr. Kimberly Gill of Cloud Chiropractic, a fellow community-focused Camas practice, for a hands-on foam rolling and mobility session. Whether you want to improve your recovery chops or just move through your day a little less tight, this hour is for you.

You will learn how to use a foam roller and a few simple mobility drills to release tight muscles, boost circulation, open up your range of motion, and recover better between training sessions. This is practical, beginner-friendly self-care.

All levels welcome, and bring a friend.

3. Tectonic Teens: back-to-school schedule

Summer flew by, and our teens showed up and put in the work!

Updates:

No teen class the week of August 24 to 28.

📆Our school-year weekly schedule kicks off Monday, August 31, from 4:30 to 5:15 PM, Mon–Thu.

Same great coaching and the same supportive crew, now built around the school day. Our teens grow real strength, confidence, and habits that carry into everything else they do, surrounded by a community that has their backs.

New faces are always welcome.

4. You spoke, we listened: member survey results

A big thank you to everyone who filled out our member survey. The message came through loud and clear: the best part of Tectonic is YOU.

  •  You told us the community and the people are what keep you coming back, and that is the heart of your gym.

  •  You also told us you want to keep leveling up your skills, so we are leaning in: look for more technique coaching and movement cues in class to help you move better and lift stronger.

  •  And we put your equipment feedback straight to work on the floor: new jump ropes and resistance bands are here and ready to grab!

More to come from what you shared. Keep the feedback flowing; it shapes where we go next.

5. "Literate Lifters" book club update

The first Tectonic Book Club was an intellectually stimulating success!

Brainy and buff, everyone shared their insights, perspectives, and enthusiasm for the book.

Up next: Yesteryear by Caro Claire Burke.

📆Join us for our next gathering at Oak Tree Station on Monday, September 14 at 6:00 p.m. Whether you joined us last time or this will be your first book club, everyone is welcome. Grab a copy, start reading, and come ready for another great conversation!

6. Tectonic Float Day: we took it to the river, and the river took us

About two and a half hours of easy current, eating all sizes of Bo Bo Bars, army crawling over rocks, and many laughs. Coach Greg even water-logged his phone and is happy to have a new one.

This is what community outside the gym looks like, applying our fitness to being active and happy with others.

Thank you to everyone who came out, and to Michelle for letting us use her van for shuttling 🚐.

Musing about the next Tectonic adventure? Let your coach know!

Onward, upward, drop it, lift it again!

Training blocks change, but the game remains the same: Maintain, return to, and find again that practice that keeps you healthy, strong, and moving well.

Catch you at your box,
